Contractors Grade Verses Top Line Paint |
|
 Buy the top of the line. lower grades--typically dubbed good,
better, or contractor grade—do not perform as well. If a top-line paint
will cover all but the darkest colors in two coats, lower-quality
paints might need three or four coats. That makes them a poor value.
Plan on two coats even with a top-rated paint for best coverage. For
certain colours of red as an example, you will need a recommended
tinted primer before any final coats are applied. Contractor paints are
fast and cheap .... Quality paints have formulas to follow to achieve
above average image and durability.
