High End Painting in Prince George |

 High End Painting
"Prince George, BC Canada"
There are many ways to paint houses in Prince George and all sorts of price variations.
Every
painter has an idea on how they will paint your home, the paint product
they will use, how it will
look at the end of a job and what it will cost the client.
Our
standards are all different. Some people pay close attention to detail,
others don't notice detail.
When you ask for a painting quote, make sure you know the quality of
painting you want and, if the painter you choose can actually do what you invision, and
will be able to do all you want
within your budget. Cheap pricing usually means a lot less of everything.
That being said, professional painters know what sheen's and products to use. They are
professionals at hiding flaws by filling in the gaps. They understand
what products to use, and how to apply them so the finished home looks
beautiful and well built. Your paint job either makes or breaks the
final
look
of the ceilings, walls and all the trim in the expensive home. High-end painter's
are well worth their money in gold.
What Is High End Painting?
Incorporating all areas of painting methods. From quality brush
work to HVLP and airless spraying. Applying lacquers, urethanes, NGR
alcohol base stain, latex and oil finishes for both natural woods to
man made products.
High End Painting, Quality Painting, Professional
Painting... should
all mean excellent workmanship without compromise.
To Chris Bialuski, (owner of The PAINTING Guys), the term "High End" also
means "when quality conflicts with
production, QUALITY RULES!
Interior Decorators
Often, high end includes an interior designer or colour
consultant to
help choose your colours and decor. Well designed homes are a total
thrill to
paint.
High end homes, small or large can have
- crown mouldings,
- wide window and door casings,
- big baseboards,
- running trim
- nice doors
In my business, I
quote those projects totally different from a basic paint jobs without
a lot of trim. I spend twice, if not more time preparing and painting
trim work. Painting trim takes time.

Choosing The Right Painter
We all like
to think "our work is
excellent" but our prices are all different because we all do things
differently. Its confusing for the
client. HOW DO I KNOW WHO TO HIRE?
Reading the actual steps I take will
give you a starting point. These are the steps I was taught by other
professional journeyman painters. These steps consistently produce
pro results all in a timely manner. Great for quality, great for
production, great for the client and great for future business. In the
end the home looks excellent everytime.
Quality painting, high end
painting, professional painting... should all mean good workmanship.
How high end painting is done.

|
No matter how
you look at it,
painting trim takes time to paint. If you
spend the extra money and time to install a lot of trim, paint it
right! You will
be very happy you went the extra mile to find and pay for a good
painter to finish your home.
Trim should look deep in colour and smooth
to touch. It should stand out from the room and have great lines
between the wall colours and the trim colour. It should look awesome,
not just sort-of-there. It should NOT have gaps between the walls. It
should
be sealed nicely and painted with high quality paint. Trim should
have a sheen to it for various
reasons explained throughout this web site. |
Notice "gap free" trim between wall and trim edge. Windows have been
sprayed 5 coats here. Over spray on walls is beneficial. Paint helps
fill gaps and provides and super smooth finish surface for the wall
paint to
cut. The brush follows and slides a nice fine line during final coat.
No taping required.
I used spray shield for covering glass. This was very fast
finishing and very effective high end painting. Bottom image shows
finished room. I rock!

NOTE: ALL TRIM ON
(This high end painting requires superior brush work and high quality
airless and HVLP sprayers).
Superior brush skills and top sprayer skills are essential if you want
your home to look really nice.
Repaint Protocol but my vary (Note: new homes are different)
- clear painting area's
- vacuum where necessary
- tape all area's needed (example : where hardwood meets baseboards, counters etc) before
dust occurs. This ensures tape to "stick" less bleeding and finer/cleant edge.
- cover and drop sheet
the entire home or working area's
- remove necessary
hardware (wall plates, vents plates, hinges and doors, window
treatments etc.)
- tape over receptacles and switches
- set up exhaust fans (see) sand railings, walls,
doors, trim and patching (sweep or air blast new drywall)
- repair or clean up
necessary area's (patching holes and removing non paint able silicone)
- prime where needed
- sand all primed area's
- vacuum if necessary
- caulk entire home,
(railings, window casings, door casings and baseboards).
- dust above all doors
and vacuum any debris tight to corners
- double check taped
areas and drop sheets for leaks etc.
- paint (spray if possible) all ceilings
- shake out any over
spray dust or texture droppings from drop sheets and vacuum if necessary
- replace drop sheets
- paint (spray if
possible) all crown mouldings, doors, window and door casings, millwork etc. (two coats or
more) sand between rough coats. vacuum where necessary.
- remove tape
- cut (brush) into trim
and paint walls two or more coats with Benjamin Moore Collection. Sand
between coats
- remove drop sheets
from home
- vacuum floor
- paint top edge of
baseboards with brush (brush lines here make a huge difference in room
appearance).
- remove tape
- buff trim
- touch-up home
- finished
- call back in a few days to see if the client is happy
- call back in a month just to be sure. Your testimonials
are everything.
High End New Home Construction Painting (our
standards)
With new homes. All drywall priming
is preferably done before trim
is on. A common
mistake. Don't rush and don't cheap out on the primer!
Superior priming product and amount applied is key to a quality finish.
Priming "seals" the surface and sets the stage for the finish coat
(Tip) tint primer for darker colours.
Bottom Line: If
you want a quality paint job... use good primer. If your
primer doesn't seal, the finish doesn't flow. It takes longer to paint
pro results.
NOTE: DO NOT USE TEXTURE SEAL on the WALLS for a primer!
To avoid flashing and dull patchy looking walls, prime your home like
it was a finish coat and the
finish work will look better than anything you have even seen.

| | PAINTING Guys Random Testimonial |
| | Shaun & Sheri. Prince George Posted: | Simply put, Chris does an incredible job.
You can tell he is a craftsman who loves his trade. He is a positive, high energy individual who pays meticulous attention to detail.
Chris painted the entire interior of our house: walls, doors, window and door trim, and did all caulking after a horrendous paint job from another painting company. His lines are laser straight - they're simply second to none. Caulking is something often overlooked when painting - unfortuantely it can run a good paint job if done incorrectly. The paint and caulking applied three years ago looks as good today as it did when it was first applied.
The real measure of how well a professional does if you make referrals and if you would use the individual again. We've refered others to Chris and he's coming back to our house to paint the basement after some recent water damage.
If you are looking for someone who will take the time to do things right, who is up front and honest about what it will take to do the job, has an eye for colours, uses only quality products (for good reason), and are willing to wait for the best painter in town Chris is the individual you want to hire.
Thank you Chris. |
