Any tips for painting bead board? I am painting a sun room that is covered walls and ceiling in bead baord. It cannot be sprayed. I have been brushing it all but it is taking quite a long time. |

Hi Doug, spraying would be nice. You can't wrap the room up eh? Next sollution might be a thick nap roller, brush out or use a finer roller to back roll.
which style is it?

Cool room down, maybe using flotrol will help paint flow and lengthen your working time for the back rolling. Are you using oil, acrylic? |

I can't spray because the room has been previously painted and all the pieces of bead board are framed with trim. The homeowner wants the baord painted but all the trim left white. The original paint was oil so that is what I am using now. I finished the room today and brushed the majority of it. I did use a small roller with a high nap to do some of it. I still had to go around those areas and use a brush to touch up areas in the bead that didn't completely cover with paint. The baord is the low end plywood type. |
