If cabinets are poorly painted, be prepared to pay a lot more money to have a professional fix them (if they can be).

If paint can be scratched off easily, this is a sure sign they were NOT sanded and cleaned properly prior to painting. Some people rely on degreasers but they never work to our standards either.
Good old sanding is how we get paint to stick.
