Paint type - Oil vs. Latex

Oil-based paint (including alkyd hybrids) are not the best paint to use.

Oil paint may be the best choice to use for anyone who doesn’t know how to paint cabinets simply because of its slow drying time and ease of getting ok results with little prep or minimal equipment.

Cabinet paint is no different from any other type of paint. All paint will chip if you hit it.
